The Rollercoaster of Emotions of October Activities
October felt like a rollercoaster of emotions for Jaguars as they engaged in various activities on Vietnamese Women’s Day, Field Trips, and Halloween Festival.
A Sweet Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20
The atmosphere at SISS was filled with love on October 20 as students joined in making greeting cards to celebrate Vietnamese Women’s Day.
Applying the skills learned in Visual Arts, the Jaguars created special cards with unique color combinations and blended different art forms to craft their own distinctive works. The result highlighted the loving words students wanted to convey.
The handmade cards were filled with sincere emotions and dedication, making them precious gifts for the women whom the Jaguars cherish.
Meaningful Field Trips
The Jaguars in Primary School recently enjoyed two unforgettable Field Trips.
At the Kubo Playground Area, SISS students enhanced their physical abilities through fun sports challenges. Additionally, they explored unique features of various professions through exciting role-playing games. This was also an opportunity for them to communicate, connect, and build closer relationships with their teachers and friends.
Meanwhile, Years 2 and 3 students ventured into the wonderful world of animals and plants at Saigon Zoo & Botanical Gardens. Knowledge about natural creatures became more vivid and understandable as the students directly observed and engaged with the wonders of nature. The experiences gained during the trip will help students complete their assignments and projects in the near future.
Each trip provided valuable real-world experiences, giving the Jaguars opportunities to apply what they have learned in practical settings and inspiring them to explore the magical world of knowledge.
Exciting Halloween Festival
The last day of October at SISS was filled with colors as Jaguars donned impressive costumes to celebrate the Halloween Festival, “Boo-tiful Monster Jaguars”. Dressed up as cute characters, the students visited each classroom, knocking on doors and chanting “Trick or Treat” to receive candy from teachers. Additionally, they participated in a series of fun challenges like the spider web walking challenge, Halloween ring toss, and pumpkin house design.
The “Boo-tiful Monster Jaguars” Halloween Festival combined Western cultural experiences and games with activities themed around the harvest season. This unique combination helped students understand the significance of this Western holiday, while also learning the importance of appreciating food and celebrating the harvest season as winter approaches.
October ended with countless memorable moments. The diverse activities and events of the previous month brought not only moments of entertainment but also valuable learning experiences. These experiences will help the Jaguars be well-prepared for the important exams coming up in November.
