Participating in the event is not only an opportunity for students to learn about the national traditions and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the festival, but also an opportunity for them to bond more closely with the SISS community.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival with Jaguars
From the Field Trip to Bong So Beach to the exciting and vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival activities at school, Jaguars from all year levels had an unforgettable festival season with friends and teachers.
This September, as the full moon shines down on the SISS happy forest, the Jaguars excitedly welcome the next Mid-Autumn Festival with many activities filled with joy. For two consecutive days from September 16 to 17, 2024, Jaguars of all year levels joined together to engage in activities of “playing while learning, learning while playing”.
Meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival Discovery Activities
At the beginning of the Mid-Autumn Festival discovery activities, Jaguars learned together about stories, legends, and symbols related to this special holiday. More meaningful than ever, they made their own beautiful moon cakes in shapes like rabbits, the Moon, and Hello Kitty. With this cake-making activity, they were extremely attentive to follow the steps as instructed by the teacher to create the most beautiful cakes and give them to their relatives and friends.
A Memorable Field Trip at Bong So Beach
“We felt very happy and excited today. We had new experiences that we had never tried before. We thank the School very much.” – The Year 6 Jaguars could not hide their excitement after a fun-filled day at Bong So Beach Amusement Area and School Experience.
From teamwork games to fun moments playing in the water, they showed an abundance of energy and happiness as bright as the full moon of Mid-Autumn. Not only that, but they also learned the art of making “to he”, and crafting their own unique creations, and had the special experience of witnessing the art of water puppetry. Every student was surprised and couldn’t help but praise the impressive performance of the water puppet artists.
Happy to Welcome the Full Moon Night of August
After the Field Trip, they gathered at the 4 Nguyen Thong Campus to continue the final activities of the festival. Following an engaging interaction with Uncle Cuoi and Sister Hang, they were presented with a series of fun surprises: a captivating magic show, lively performances by the Prep, Year 1, and Year 5 Jaguars, and the rhythmic drumbeats accompanying the vibrant lion dance. The two-day celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival concluded with a warm and cozy full-moon party shared among students in their class.
Notably, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival took place when our whole country was working together to recover from the impact of Typhoon Yagi. In solidarity with those seriously affected, SISS also contributed part of the Festival’s organization cost to the national relief fund to help the people and spread a bit of Mid-Autumn joy to the children in these communities.
