November Through the Jaguars’ Lens
November was a month of exploration and celebration for SISS students. From experiential learning Field Trips to renowned museums to meaningful activities celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and World Kindness Day, the month offered countless opportunities for learning, joy, and connection.
“Jaguars are the number one SISS community’s heart.”
The experiences of youth are invaluable treasures that nurture positive emotions, happiness, and joy in coming to school each day. November for the happy residents of SISS was adorned with a variety of emotions and experiences.
Celebrating Vietnamese Teachers’ Day
At SISS, our teachers are not just knowledge bearers but also companions who ensure students have fulfilling learning experiences, cultivate joy in life, and grow holistically in intellect and character. They are the ones who nurture young minds every day in the happy forest of Jaguars.
On this special day of gratitude, Jaguars from all year levels sent sweet letters to their favorite teachers. These letters created not only with adorable words and drawings but also adorned with cherished memories of their learning journey at SISS, became tokens of heartfelt appreciation.
The SISS community hopes our teachers will continue to uphold their passion for teaching, stay healthy and happy, and bring more positivity to future generations.
Learning Thousands of Lessons at Renowned Museums
During their visit to the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History, Year 4 and Year 6 Jaguars explored cultural artifacts representing various periods of Vietnamese history. The trip enriched their knowledge of history and art while fostering a deep appreciation for cultural preservation.
Meanwhile, Year 7 and Year 8 Jaguars embarked on an artistic journey at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts. Immersed in stunning exhibitions, they delved into different styles and elements of visual arts across eras. The trip provided them with an opportunity to apply their Visual Arts lessons in evaluating, analyzing, and appreciating iconic works by Vietnamese and international artists.
November’s Field Trips offered Jaguars not only unforgettable memories but also valuable learning opportunities. These trips helped students build confidence, independence, and creativity as they explored the wonders of “classrooms without walls”.
Spreading the Spirit of Kindness
A highlight of November was the Kindness Day celebration on November 26, 2024, themed “Kindness Is a Blossoming Flower”. With the message that “every flower in the happy forest of SISS adds vibrancy to the world”, the event provided Jaguars with a platform to spread the values of compassion, goodness, and kindness.
Dressed in bright, floral-themed outfits and accessories, Jaguars participated in the “Thank and Complement Someone” card-writing activity. These colorful, heartfelt cards, filled with gratitude and compliments, became the perfect “seasoning” to make life sweeter and full of kindness.
Dear Jaguars, let’s continue creating beautiful memories as we step into the final month of 2024!
