On August 30, 2024, the Jaguars who are passionate about Robotics gathered at the Technology Room with a very ready mindset to compete on the sand table. After 40 minutes of robot assembly, the students were divided into small groups to compete with each other. Despite the intense competition, experienced Jaguars from last year generously shared their experiences with new participants. After 40 minutes of controlling the robot on the sand table to meet the requirements of the Subject Teachers, the Jaguars concluded the Selection Round with extremely close scores.

As a result, the Talented Engineer Team was formed with the following members:

  • Secondary School Team: Tran Minh Vien Bach, Nguyen Truong Thien, Dang Tran Khanh Duy, Ha Tung Lam, Lam Kien Tuong, Tran The Minh, Nguyen Anh Khoi, Dang Duc Hai Dang.
  • Primary School Team: Nguyen Quoc Bao, Le Duong Hoang Kim, Mai Ha Anh, Trieu The Vu.

Dang Tran Khanh Duy (Year 8) – one of the faces on the team – shared: “I feel very proud to become a member of the Talented Engineer team. During the competition in the Selection Round, I did not encounter any difficulties because this is a field that I love and am passionate about. I hope that we will achieve good results and win the VEX Robotics National Championship 2025 and further, the biggest arena in the US.”

Sharing similar aspirations with Khanh Duy, Tran The Minh (Year 6) also expressed: “When I knew I would join the Talented Engineer Team, I felt nervous, but I trusted myself. I could reach my dream and I could make my own robot. The difficulty that I had to face was that I needed to create and control an impressive robot. Before entering the arena, my goal is to improve my program, control the robot, and also become better in technology.”

The students will undergo training with the team, led by Ms. Diep, who also accompanied the Jaguars in the 2024 competition. The teacher and students will be thoroughly prepared to continue to bring the colors of SISS to this prestigious tournament. Let’s extend our congratulations and cheer on the team as they prepare for this exciting competition!
