No Backpack Day
Goals & Objectives
Due to their poor living situations, many children across the world and in Vietnam cannot own school backpacks like other children. Despite the challenges, they persevere and constantly go to school with customized backpacks made from common items. SISS students will have the chance to express their creativity on “No Backpack Day” and encourage the spirit of perseverance among children who never give up on their quest for knowledge.

Activities
Students are encouraged to use items available at home or items they create to carry books and school supplies to school instead of using their usual school bags.
Students are encouraged to wear clothing of the same color as the “bag” they bring to school. Note: The clothing needs to be polite and suitable for the school environment.
Jaguars went to school with unique backpacks
Responding to Spirit Day “No Backpack Day”, Jaguars together “caught the trend” of not bringing backpacks to school on January 11, 2024.
From Primary School Campus to High School Campus, pictures of Jaguars arriving at school with their distinctive “bags” were shown. They brought the basket from simple tote bags, gift boxes, and cake boxes to plastic boxes – all created a special school day with lots of laughter for the Jaguars.
In addition, Jaguars’ wearing complimentary costumes to school on “No Backpack Day” brought the school community closer together. This is another essential activity for SISS Spirit Days.
The Jaguars’ creativity has no bounds, in line with their active response to events that align with the humanistic values of the SISS community.
