School Clinic
The health and safety of the students are of the utmost importance to us. We seriously take care of the physical and emotional health of each member of the school community to enable students’ well-being, success in learning, and a balanced, healthy lifestyle. SISS has a well-equipped health center on campus that is supervised by professionally qualified nurses and counselors.
The School Clinic provides students with a first aid routine and basic medical care throughout the regular school day from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The school nurse ensures follow-up on the students’ health, and the counselors offer well-being services to all our students through health check-ups, vaccinations, and comprehensive counseling. Families are asked to submit a medical history form for each child registered at SISS. This will allow our staff and full-time school nurse to better serve your child/children if they require assistance.
When a student gets an illness or injury, the nurse will administer first aid measures. If the injury requires more specialized emergency measures or a diagnosis from a specialist, our school nurse will contact the parents immediately, and the student will be taken to the clinic previously chosen by the parents for further treatment. Our counselors collaborate with students, parents, faculty, staff, and outside community resources to provide a comprehensive counseling approach in the following areas:
Individual Counseling: Students from Kindergarten to Year 12 can meet with the counselors regarding adjustments, worries or feelings of anxiety, friendships or conflicts, identity issues, academic and career planning, personal goals, and family crises, as well as to deal with any life events or troubles.
Personal Education: The counselors support classes that focus on social-emotional learning and personal growth.
