A Colorful and Multi-Experience Summer
Offering various summer programs suitable for students in 2024, SISS wishes them a summer full of endless fun while exploring the vast world of knowledge.
To give students a more meaningful summer, many parents have sought out summer programs that are fully integrated with learning and experiential activities. In the summer of 2024, Sydney International School System also began offering programs featuring various destinations, suitable for all ages. Therefore, students can take advantage of their summertime to explore their passions and learn about the world around them.
1. Exploring the World of Knowledge Has Never Been So Fun
Summer Camp 2024, with two summer camps including “First Graders’ Adventure – Columbus” (for students 5 – 6 years old) and “A Jubilant Exploration” (for students 6 – 13 years old), will set out on a “cruise” to the world of knowledge for students. During the 6 weeks of summer camp, students will visit 6 different continents and learn about their cultures, histories, geography, languages, sciences, and technologies.
1.1 First Graders’ Adventure – Columbus
For students from 5 to 6 years old, the “First Graders’ Adventure”, named after “Columbus” – the first person to discover America – will provide a special opportunity for students to explore 6 different continents of the world through practical lessons and exciting experiential activities.
6 weeks of journey across 6 continents around the world with core subjects such as Math and Vietnamese will help students prepare the foundation for the first level of Primary School while enjoying a fun summer with 6 interesting subjects, allowing them to discover their hidden talents and develop their strengths with multi-experience interactive activities that cover various topics.
At the same time, students will develop confidence and easily integrate into the Primary School environment at the end of the summer course, especially in international schools. The students’ pre-primary skills will also be significantly improved through lessons with experienced foreign and Vietnamese teachers.
1.2 A Jubilant Exploration
For students ages 6 to 13, “A Jubilant Exploration” offers a unique “6 in 1” summer program featuring adventures to 6 continents around the world. Every summer day at school will bring students joy and useful knowledge about the world around them. Students will learn subjects such as Cultural Odyssey, Leadership Activities, Tech Adventure, World of Performance Art, Dynamic Sports, Essential Skills, and Culinary Arts.
The summer camp will be divided into separate classes with the following age groups:
- Marco Polo: 6 – 7 years old
- Edmund Hillary: 7 – 8 years old
- Yurri Gagarin: 8 – 9 years old
- William Beebe: 9 – 10 years old
- Leif Erikson: 10 – 11 years old
- Roald Amundsen: 11 – 13 years old
1.3 Information about Summer Camp 2024
The program is expected to start on June 17, 2024, with a duration of 6 weeks. Students will learn with a team of experienced foreign and Vietnamese teachers.

2. Summer Study Abroad to Two Leading Countries in the World
The US and Canada are two of the top countries that attract large numbers of international students and tourists each year. Not only are they leaders in quality education, but these two North American countries are also popular tourist destinations with many impressive landscapes and historical sites. This summer 2024, SISS has coordinated with ISA to organize two international summer camps in these two countries at reasonable and optimal costs.
2.1 American Camp 2024
In 2023, ISA successfully organized the American Camp 2023 with the participation of a large number of students. This year, American Camp returns, promising to bring a memorable summer for students as they:
- Visit magnificent cities in America, such as Washington, D.C., Greenville, Pittsburgh, Grove City, Cleveland, and Youngstown.
- Become a local student taking classes on a variety of subjects such as culture, biology, astronomy, STEAM, law, sports, and many more.
- Expand their connections with new friends and develop their talents through team activities and educational experiences such as picnics, mock trials, debates, cooking competitions, and more.
- Directly learn and explore many world-famous universities, which are the “target” of many students when intending to study long-term in the US, such as the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Gannon University, and the University of Toronto.

2.2 UMC Canada Summer Camp 2024
The next destination awaiting the students is Canada with a visit to three romantic cities, including Ottawa, Toronto, and Montréal. Lasting for 3 weeks, the trip will also be an adventure for children to explore the lives of native people, immerse themselves in a multicultural environment, and enhance their English proficiency and other soft skills.
The trip will be more meaningful when students have the opportunity to learn about Canada’s leading universities, for example, the University of Toronto. This is an important step to help students have more time to prepare for their future long-term study abroad journey. The 3 weeks of exploration in Canada are going to be an opportunity for campers in general and Jaguars in particular to open up a whole new world to them!
