Field Trip: An Adventure to Fanpekka
Goals
Following the activities in the Christmas Festival “Jingle All the Way to SISS,” Sydney International School System will organize a Field Trip to Fanpekka. There, students will be able to immerse themselves in the fun Christmas atmosphere and participate in activities to unwind after a stressful final semester exam. This is also the first Field Trip for the students in the academic year 2023 – 2024.

Students of Prep, Years 1, 2, and 3
Agenda
08:45 – 09:15: Students get ready to prepare and depart for Fanpekka.
09:15 – 09:30: Students take group photos by class.
09:30 – 11:15: Students will participate in the following activities:
- Conquer the Lasten Linna Castle
- Discover the Lasten Ocean
- Explore their preferred career(s)
- Visit a unique flea market
- Visit the assembled wooden Leikkimokki house
11:15 – 11:30: Students receive gifts from Fanpekka and take pictures with Tonttu
11:30 – 12:00: Students finish the trip and return to their campus

Ding dong, ding dong!
Hello, residents of the land of Fanpekka, we are the little Jaguars from “SISS Wonderland.” Thank you for inviting us to explore the magic of Fanpekka.
At the end of the trip, we were filled with happy memories, such as:
- Delving into the huge “ocean” of balls
- Overcoming our fears with challenging adventures
- Exploring Lasten Castle and the mysterious mirror world
- Becoming a Fanpekka resident for a day by playing the roles of a firefighter, salesman, train conductor, and many more
- Showing off our talents in assembling many different models and those challenges were not difficult for us
Not only did we save beautiful memories in Fanpekka, but we also learned many valuable experiences, such as confidence when facing fear, the ability to communicate and exchange to sell our products, thinking of ways to solve problems, and teamwork. These things hold great value for us, as they will aid in our future growth as more mature individuals.
Returning to “SISS Wonderland,” we promise to study hard and see you again one day!
