Happy 100 Days of School, Jaguars!

November 25, 2023

Exciting, meaningful, and emotional – the event “Happy 100 Days of School, Jaguars!” ended with the participation of many Parents and Jaguars of all year levels.

Sydney International School System formally welcomed its first class of students in August 2023, marking the beginning of an exciting journey filled with many aspirations to conquer knowledge. From students who were still confused with many new things, now Jaguars have been creating beautiful youthful memories together under the beloved school SISS. On November 24th, 2023, the School hosted a ceremony called “Happy 100 Days of School, Jaguars!” with the participation of Parents and Jaguars to commemorate the first 100 days of Jaguars joining SISS.

Overcome by emotions from the past journey

The 100 days were neither short nor long; rather, they were the time when all Jaguars did their utmost in academic activities, participated actively in events, and gave their all in both internal and external competitions. All of the guests looked back at beautiful pictures of Jaguars in the classroom and during significant events like Spirit Days, House Sports Day, and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Additionally, Hoang Kim, the House Captain of the House of Zeus, spoke on behalf of the students to recount the special occasions that the Jaguars have shared. Specifically, the activity of wearing blue shirts to school on Peace Day has earned almost 1.4 million VND for the “Build A Better Tomorrow” Community Fund, which will be used to carry out the main project “Yen Bai, For a Brighter Tomorrow”.

Exploded with musical performances

The Jaguars’ musical performances are an important part of SISS events. This time, every class gave a distinctive and memorable performance. The Year 7 Jaguars put on a powerful and assured drum performance, while the little Jaguars gained praise for their super cuteness. The Jaguars of Year 3 entertained the audience with a thought-provoking play, while the other Jaguars contributed to the excitement of the event with their upbeat dancing and singing performances. In particular, the teachers also gave an unexpected present to the Jaguars with their special performance, which they choreographed and developed themselves. The lyrics reflected the aspirations and hopes that teachers wish to instill in the Jaguars.

Reunited with the SISS family

The attendance of the parent community was important to the event’s success. Vibrant and significant images of the celebration were created by enthusiastically applauding the Jaguars’ performances, visiting and praising students’ academic projects, supporting fundraising booths, and listening to the sharing of two student representatives and the Board of Principals. Jaguars from every year level came together as well to support the performances and take part in the event’s activities.

Vice Principal, Mr. Aaron Butler, who could not hide his joy, said that during the previous 100 days, he had been most delighted to observe the students’ hard work and laughter in every lesson. That has also served as inspiration for all SISS teachers to work even harder to support students as they continue on their path to becoming knowledgeable and building bright futures.

Once again, the School would like to express its gratitude to parents and students for attending the recent event. Hopefully, SISS will continue to host more notable and fascinating events in the near future, as stated by Tran Minh Vien Bach, Jaguar from Year 7, and also the students’ representatives at the event.
